coppermineKapunda Copper Mine
Kapunda Copper Mine was the first established commercial  metal mine in Australia.  Mining commenced in 1844 and ceased in 1879.  The ore mined at this site was of particularly high quality and revenue from the mine was instrumental in saving the State from bankruptcy.  During this height of activity and prosperity, Kapunda was the largest populated town outside of Adelaide. 
museumKapunda Musuem
Take a step back in time when you enter Kapunda's award winning Museum.  The museum exhibits many local artifacts which tell us some fascinating stories about the town and the people who've lived here.

interactiveLight Region Interpretive Display
An Interpretive Display of the Region, is housed in the basement of the Kapunda Visitor Information Centre. Kids love this little adventure and have expressed it with words like ‘wicked’, ‘fantastic’, ‘funkadelic’.

davidsonDavidson Reserve
A delightful spot to stop and catch your breath and relax for a while. Grassy banks, picnic tables, boardwalks, free gas BBQ's and toilet facilities are here.The resident birdlife adds to the tranquility of this quiet location 500 metres from Kapunda's Main Street.

This is a great place for the kids to let off some steam and for mum and dad to relax for a while.Take a driving break or collect the kids and head to the Lions Playground for a picnic on the cool lush green lawns or use the picnic settings under the shady gums.

eringaEringa
'Eringa' was the family home of Sir Sidney Kidman, his wife Isabelle and their four surviving children.  Sid Kidman donated the home and 10 acres of land to the Education Department. It became the town's first High School and it is still operational today. The school welcomes visitors to view the lovely old building which now serves as administration and library facilities.

Enjoy the sights of delicate seasonal wildflowers in this relaxing, tranquil setting.  Take a look at the old pump house and remains of the reservoir that once supplied Kapunda with water.  A relaxing place for a stroll and picnic.
